Privacy Policy

Imotionary ("we," "our," "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of the people and organisations that use our platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what rights you have over it.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password hash. If you sign up via Google or Apple OAuth, we receive your name and email from that provider.

1.2 Payment information

We do not store card numbers or bank details. Payments are processed by Stripe, Paystack, Flutterwave, NowPayments, or BitPay. We store your billing plan, payment status, and transaction reference numbers only.

1.3 Content you create

We store campaigns, scripts, renders, and assets you create or upload. This content is stored in your isolated workspace and is not shared with other users or used to train AI models.

1.4 Platform connections

When you connect a social media account, we store your encrypted OAuth access token. We use these tokens only to publish content you explicitly approve. We do not read, analyse, or store your existing social media content.

1.5 Usage data

We collect data about how you use Imotionary — including pages visited, features used, render jobs submitted, and credits consumed. This data is used to improve the platform and is never sold to third parties.

1.6 Technical data

We collect IP addresses, browser types, device information, and error logs for security and performance monitoring purposes.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • ●Provide and operate the Imotionary platform
  • ●Process payments and manage your subscription
  • ●Send transactional emails (render complete, publishing confirmation, billing receipts)
  • ●Provide customer support
  • ●Monitor and improve platform performance and security
  • ●Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not sell your data to advertisers or third parties. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

3. Data Sharing

We share data with the following categories of third parties:

  • ●AI engine providers (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Runway, Kling, Google, Stability AI, HeyGen) for the purpose of processing your render jobs. Only the content required for each render is transmitted.
  • ●Payment processors (Stripe, Paystack, Flutterwave, NowPayments, BitPay) for billing operations.
  • ●Cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, MinIO-compatible storage) for data storage and processing.
  • ●Analytics services for internal platform monitoring (not for advertising).

All third-party providers are contractually bound to handle your data only for the purposes we specify.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Campaign content, renders, and assets are retained for 12 months after you delete them (to support recovery requests). After 12 months, they are permanently deleted.

Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • ●Access the personal data we hold about you
  • ●Correct inaccurate data
  • ●Delete your data (right to erasure)
  • ●Export your data in a portable format
  • ●Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
  • ●Object to processing for marketing purposes

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@imotionary.com. We respond to all requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (session management), security, and performance monitoring. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

7. Security

We protect your data with:

  • ●AES-256 encryption at rest
  • ●TLS 1.3 in transit
  • ●HMAC-SHA256 signed media URLs
  • ●Role-based access controls
  • ●Immutable audit logs

8. Children

Imotionary is not designed for or directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have done so, contact privacy@imotionary.com immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will notify users via email and in-app notification at least 14 days before any material change to this policy takes effect.
